About the Yakima Skibenders Snowmobile Club
The club promotes the sport of snowmobiling through the state and
local levels, and is involved in teaching new riders the snowmobiling
areas and trails. Our activities include snowmobile rides, trail
clean-up in the summer, brush work in the fall, annual crab feed,
annual brunch in the woods, maintaining trees, phones, and cabin.
Regular meetings are held on the first Tuesday from September to April at 7pm at Bob's Burgers & Brew in Yakima.
Community Services
Include an annual litter pick-up campaign in the Ahtanum area.
We also maintain the Treephones Cabin in Tampico. We conduct
brush work, work on barriers, and form work parties, as the Department
of Natural Resources (DNR) and landowners request our assistance.
Our annual Crab Feed fundraiser is open to the public and is usually
attended by around 350 people. We also participate in the March
of Dimes Walkathon manning a station.
