Sportsmans' Days provides a great time of community fellowship and fun which draws in visitors to Naches from around Central Washington.
The event will be held in Downtown Naches at the Historic Depot Park.
Sportsman’s Days is one of the longest running community day events in the Yakima Valley. The event features free entertainment throughout the weekend along with a midway, rides, food booths, game booths, silent auction, button drawings, free shows and much more. The event kicks off on Friday night at 5 pm when the midway opens.

KID’S PARADE - The Kids’ Parade leads off our Grand Parade starting at about 9:45 am. on Saturday. Rewards and ride tickets will be available for all kids in the Kids’ Parade. Prior registration is not required. Call 509-509 901 8285 if you have any questions or need more information. The parade route is about ½ mile long. Assemble at Intermediate School on Shafer Ave. FREE!
GRAND PARADE - The Grand Parade, featuring community floats, cars, trucks, horses, bands and drill teams starts at 10:10 am. on Saturday, following the Kids’ Parade. Entrees are encouraged to register early by filling out the on-line form, sending it in, or calling 509-972-3885. Registration desk will be at 24 Shafer Ave. All entrees must be in place by 9:40am. FISHING DERBY - The fishing derby, with live fish, will be from 3:00 pm - 4:30pm on Saturday for all fishermen between the ages of 4-12 years old. It will be on the ditch bank just down from the Gazebo in town. Bring your own bait and pole. Prizes will be awarded. Call 509 972 8640 for more information. Buy a button and fish!
LIP SYNC CONTEST - The Lip Sync contest takes place on the midway stage from 5:00-7:00pm on Saturday, September 7th. Three age groups: 8 & under, 9-12, 13 & up.
Money prizes will be awarded to winners in each division. The contest is open to everyone who registers by Saturday, September 7th by 3:30pm at the Lions Bank near the stage. Buy a button and sing!
KIDS’ GAMES - Games for all youngsters and teenagers will take place Saturday 11:30am-4:00pm across from the Historic Depot Park behind the Nazarene Church. Sponsored by the Nazarene Church. FREE!
FREE ENTERTAINMENT - There will be free entertainment on the stage all weekend. There will also be a free flower show. These shows are open to anybody who wishes to enter. Call 653-2113 for flower show information. Sportsman’s Days will also feature Bingo, game booths, carnival rides, food and fun for all. FREE!
BUTTON DRAWINGS - There will be lucky number Sportsman’s Days button drawings throughout the two days for cash and other prizes. The Sportsman’s Days buttons may be purchased at local businesses, from Naches Lions Club members or at the Sportsman’s Days event. Drawings will be hourly with numbers posted at the Lions Bank. Large cash prizes and all unclaimed hourly drawing prizes will be drawn near closing Saturday night. Saturday’s cash prize is $500!

MANIC THUNDER IMPROV - For nearly a decade these Yakima Natives have been bringing the funny with their quick wits and high-energy hijinks. An improve comedy group, Manic Thunders’ act is simple but effective; they produce instant comedic bits based on suggestions from the audience-nothing prepared, everything improvised. Live Entertainment - Jayleigh Ann & the Lost Boys will light up the stage Friday 5:30-8:30pm! They are already one of the most popular bands playing in Yakima. This, in spite of the fact that both Jayleigh and Isaac Gambito, the beating heart of the band, have not yet graduated high school. The addition of Nico Gambito, a middle schooler family member as a high energy drummer, completes the trio. Jayleigh's sings with big emotion and Isaac plays her collaborator and greatest admirer on stage: it's a winning combinaition. Nico soberly goes about his business, showing his joy in the music and rhythm. No matter their age, their musicianship is astounding and worth a listen, if you have no already heard them.
Project for Veterans - Volunteers from the Naches Fire Department are seeking donations of new socks and gloves to be given to veteans. Bring the donations to the Parade! - Flyer
Test Tube Poets - an acoustic trio that defies musical categorization. They play alternative country, jazz, blues, and folk with an emphasis on vocal harmonies and creative arrangements. The group performs a variety of original material and mostly obscure covers. They are made up of Dan Noll on lead guitar, Mark Burns on rhythm guitar, and Dana Lemieux on bass and ukulele.
