Chinoook Pass Lions Club - June 2006
Playground equipment, purchased, prepared and installed by the Chinook Pass Lions Club at Jim Sprick Community Park. The playground and the adjacent walking/jogging path made the park a more inviting place for local families and visitors both.

Membership

Membership comes by being invited by a current Lion who recognizes that you have the qualities to be part of the Lion organization. Both men and women are welcome to join. Current members: 25. Cost of annual membership: $70.00. Regular monthly meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Whistlin’ Jack Lodge.

Membership entitles a person to be involved with a great bunch of people who are dedicated to seeking ways to help our local and global communities.

About Chinook Pass Lions Club

We are located along the Chinook Pass Highway and have been an active part of our community since 1977. Past projects have included providing the first police dog for the sheriff’s department, helping to provide a repeater station which provides better communication for our emergency services, and spearheading the creation of the 30 Mile Fire Memorial located at the Naches Ranger Station. Recently we have purchased and constructed a playground and jogging trail at our local park.

Current Activities

We are involved in many projects, some of which occur once a year, while others go on year round. A few examples are: highway clean-up twice a year, providing medical support through equipment and services for people with special needs. Through projects like these we hope to live up to our Lion’s motto “We Serve”.

Our club is also planning to work on landscaping for the new fire station beside Jim Sprick Community Park in Spring 2017.
